Fatsia japonica ‘Spider’s Web’

Japanese fatsia

This plant, a horticultural mutation of the Japanese fatsia ‘Tsumugi Shibori’, was spotted in Japan and named by Japanese variegated plant experts Yokoi and Hirose. Spider’s Web’ unfurls glossy green palmate leaves with variegation that changes as the plant ages and with the seasons. The leaves are also splashed with small creamy-white spots. These hues give the plant an unusual, frosted appearance. The leaves are divided into seven to nine lobes. The plant’s habit, which can reach 1.2 to 1.5 m, is rounded and spreading. Suitable for both indoors and outdoors.
