Buchanan Sedge ‘Red Rooster’ has fine orange-brown to copper-bronze foliage. These colors, more intense than those of the species, give this cultivar a highly original “dried plant” appearance. This graceful, upright grass forms a vase-shaped mass of leaves 50-60 cm high and wide, and ‘Red Rooster’ can thrive in sun or light shade. This cultivar is hardy up to zone 4. The species is native to New Zealand.
