Alocasia micholitziana ‘Frydek’

Micholitz alocase ‘Frydek’ sets itself apart from many alocase cultivars by being better adapted to survive a variety of situations. While it can give a confident tropical effect to flowerbeds, water garden borders and container growing, it’s also perfect as an indoor plant as it doesn’t require too much light for its success in our homes. This alocase, native to the Philippines, can withstand full sun as well as partial shade. Its emerald-green leaves, streaked with prominent, brilliant white veins, are highly original. What’s more, its stems are pleasingly streaked with purplish stripes. The plant can reach 50 to 80 cm (20 to 32 in.) in height and width.
