Alocasia macrorrhizos Flying Squid™

Given its very dwarf form, this leaded alocase has a unique shape. What’s more, the plant has an original architectural shape resembling the arms of a squid, extending to rise from the ground, as evoked by the cultivar’s English name: Flying Squid™. The very small leaves, resembling the suction cups on a squid’s arms, complete the ensemble. This alocase can grow to just 30 cm (12 in.) in height. This mutation of the alocase ‘Serendipity’ is a curiosity that’s perfect as a centerpiece or terrace decoration.
