Canna Tropicanna® Black

A product of the Australian firm Antony Tesselaar International’s hybridization program. Tropicanna® Black is the latest addition to the group of dark-leaved cannas. Its burgundy-brown leaves, turning olive-green with age, resemble those of canna ‘Australia’, but are much larger. Its vermilion-red flowers take on orange hues as it ages. The height of this prince of darkness can vary from 1.2 m (4 ft.) to 1.5 m (5 ft.).
